The Georgia Missing In America Project Public Invitation

The purpose of the Missing in America Project (MIAP) is to locate, identify and inter the unclaimed cremated remains of American veterans through the joint efforts of private, state and federal organizations, and to provide honor, respect and dignity to those who have served this country by securing a final resting place for these forgotten heroes.

On Tuesday, November 12, 2019, MIAP – Georgia, in cooperation with Dignity Memorial’s Roswell Funeral Home and Green Lawn Cemetery, Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, Sandy Springs Chapel and Horis Ward Fairview Chapel will be inurning the cremated remains of seven World War II veterans, with full military honors, at the Georgia National Cemetery. The veterans being inurned served in the US Army and the US Navy during World War II.

All motorcycles and vehicles are invited to participate.

Staging Area:  Roswell Funeral Home,
950 Mansell Rd, Roswell, GA 30076
Arrive no later than 11:45 am, Ride brief 12:00 pm, Service 12:30.
Funeral escort will depart at 1:00 pm for Georgia National Cemetery
1080 Scott Hudgens Dr, Canton, GA 30114
Arriving at Georgia National at approximately: 1:40 pm
Funeral Service will commence at: 2:00 pm
You are welcome to meet at the cemetery, no later than 2:00 pm
