Each December on National Wreaths Across America Day, our mission to Remember, Honor and Teach is carried out by coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery, as well as at more than 1,600 additional locations in all 50 U.S. states, at sea and abroad. That day is December 14, 2019.
The donation period is over, but if you would like to participate in placing wreaths as part of the Post 304 family, reach out to members of the ALR at the Post. Howard Kanour is the primary contact point for the ALR. Our Post places wreaths at the Marietta National Cemetery.
We will need all the volunteers we can get, as there are over 5000 wreaths to lay on tombstones at the Marietta graveyard. We will also need volunteers on a date to be announced in early January, to help pick the wreaths up from the graves.
