Toys For Tots Comes Back To Post 304 – Fill Up YOUR Service’s Box and Win

An annual donation program during the Christmas season across the country is the collection of new, unopened toys for underprivileged children called Toys For Tots.  Toys for Tots is a program run by the United States Marine Corps Reserve which distributes toys to children whose parents cannot afford to buy them gifts for Christmas. The program was founded in 1947 by reservist Major Bill Hendricks.

Last year, the Ron Asby North Cobb American Legion Post 304 collected six full donation boxes for the annual toy drive.  This year, we would like to raise that number and collect even more toys for the program.

Toys must be new, unopened and in their original factory packaging.  Toys can be dropped off at the Post during regular hours – Monday thru Saturday from 4pm to closing, and Sundays starting at 2:30pm.  For more information, contact either Pennie Groover, Henry Alexander or George Tymchyshyn at the Post.

NOTE – We are holding a CONTEST to see which box is filled first.  There will be SIX boxes out, one for each of the services and one for the Auxiliary.  Donate in YOUR service box and fill it up first and WIN!
