The Auxiliary Veteran Christmas Project this year went back to our roots and helped a veteran through the Cobb County Veterans Court. Several members had a great time shopping for a family with four young children.   Pennie Groover and I had the pleasure Thursday to deliver toys and clothes to the Veteran who we chose to help out this year.  The family was so appreciative and overwhelmed with all the gifts.  We got to meet his little girl, Sarah, who is a two year cancer survivor and their little boy.  She is such a sweet child and gave us both big hugs.  She was a ray of sunshine.  This is one of the best things we do as an Auxiliary, helping one of our veterans.  As always,  service before self.

We also would like to thank Katelyn Parker of the Cobb County Veterans Court who helped us with a Veteran in need.

Hope we can have more helpers next year when we get to go shopping again.
