Post 304 is set to become part of “TV History” as Fox 5 Atlanta’s Paul Milliken brings his morning show segments to the Legion on Thursday, February 13th. Paul does three segments each morning from different locations and we are lucky to have him willing to showcase the Post. The schedule for the day is listed below.
Anyone who wants to be a part of this event is welcome, but PLEASE follow the guidelines in the information below.
We look forward to seeing you there and helping us showcase our Post.
We need YOU, our members, to show up and be a part of the segments as members participating in events at the Post. Anyone who would like to participate and be a part of this live TV event should email Dan and get yourself on the list.
NOTE – This event is about the POST and Post Family so we are requesting that you dress accordingly. Post gear, ALR gear, Auxiliary gear, SAL gear, etc. NO company logos, shirts or hats, etc. Service t-shirts and hats are welcome.
You will need to be at the Post NO LATER THAN 7:30am on the 13th and please plan on staying until approximately 10:45am. The Post doors will be closed and locked at 7:40am. The Post will provide donuts, coffee and soft drinks (and maybe more) for everyone attending. ALCOHOL WILL NOT BE SERVED DURING THIS EVENT.
Here is the information about the event:
7:30AM — arrival/set-up
7:50AM — first live tease — this is a quick 1:00-long shot letting viewers know where Paul is for the day. He doesn’t need to interview anyone here, but people can at least be in the space, maybe with a cup of coffee and a few members around, introducing Post 304 and telling folks to “stay tuned”
8:40AM — live segment (3-4 minutes in length) — let’s focus on the new bar area here, talking about the upgrades and what it offers the community and have some food samples out. Since our anchor Buck (the “burger expert”) anchors that hour, it would be fun to try the burger “for” him during the segment, along with a few other menu items.
9:20AM — live segment (3-4 minutes) — Casino Night preview! Let’s have some games set up and members ready to play as we talk about fund raising event, how to get tickets, what the money will be used for, etc.
10:30AM — live segment (3-4 minutes) — since Thursday Nights are Queen of Hearts nights, let’s play a game on live TV. Paul will even bring some sort of FOX 5 Atlanta swag as the “jackpot” prize that morning. While we talk about the game and how it works and we try to win, we can broaden the conversation out to include other weekly activities (trivia, poker, etc.) and what’s open to the community
