Post 304 Recognized at ABA State of the City Luncheon

At the annual Acworth Business Association (ABA) State of the City Luncheon on Thursday, February 6th, Post 304 was acknowledge and recognized by Mayor Tommy Allegood for its contributions to the community throughout the year.  In his speech, Mayor Allegood mentioned Post 3o4’s achievements including 50+ events the Post has held to support veterans, as well as the Honor Guard holding 36 burials at the National Cemetery,

In attendance for the Post were Commander John Dowdy, along with members Chuck Polk and Vince DiCecco.  The ABA Luncheons are held at the Acworth Community Center, and are attended by business owners and government officials from around Cobb county and the City of Acworth.

“I am very proud to be at the helm of an organization that is recognized by the City for our contributions,” said Commander Dowdy.  “But it goes beyond me.  It’s all the members who contribute their time, effort and finances to make the Post what it is that is even more important.”
