Last year, the Ron Asby North Cobb American Legion Post 304 collected six full boxes of new, unopened toys for the annual Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots drive. This year, we have topped that number by doubling it and then some.
With fifteen full boxes, Post 304 is one of the highest collection points for the Cobb County area. A special thanks goes out to George Tymchyshyn, Pennie Groover and Henry Alexander who were the driving forces behind the collections this year. According to the Toys for Tots reps who picked up the boxes, Post 304 had the largest collection of toys for pickup in the area this season.
Thanks to all who donated, including Larry “Tug” Hale, Chuck Polk, Bob Hughes and Bob Weatherford, who all stepped up and gave much more than their share. Job well done!
