On July 8th, The Ron Asby North Cobb American Legion Post 304 and the North Cobb Veterans Honor Guard donated a combined total of $600 to the North Cobb Christian School’s Middle School Color / Honor Guard for new uniforms. Bob Hughes (Post 304) and Chuck Polk (Honor Guard) met with Don Apperson, the Director of School Security, and Todd Clingman, Director of the School, along with several members of the fledgling Middle School Honor Guard to present the check for the uniforms.
This is what NCCS posted on their website, thanking the two organizations for their support:
“We’re excited to introduce our new NCCS Honor Guard! This group of stellar middle school students will be responsible for presenting the national colors at ceremonies and sporting events, while learning patriotism and service for others before self. We were recently blessed by the support of the Ron Asby North Cobb American Legion Post 304, who donated funds to help launch our program. We’re so thankful for their partnership!”
