I NEED YOU!
Remember that iconic Uncle Sam poster from WWI? Well, your Post needs YOU and we are asking for your help. We have over 500 members at our Post, and if everyone contributed just an hour a month, or came in to have just one dinner a month, our Post would make some fantastic progress with our goals to make it better for everyone.
The Post Fund-raising Committee will be meeting on August 22 at 7:00pm at the Post. We would like to invite you to attend and help us with upcoming events.
We have two upcoming events where we will need volunteers during the month of October, and more in November/December.
October 12 – the Taste of Acworth. The Post will be hosting an Oktoberfest tent, selling brats and beer. We will need volunteers to help with setup starting about 8am, working throughout the day cooking and pouring, selling raffle tickets, etc., and then tearing down at the end of the day. Work an hour or all day. It’s your call, but we NEED YOU! You can sign up at the Post on the Volunteer signup form.
October 26 – the 5th Annual Car, Truck and Bike show. We are hosting our 5th Annual car show and need a lot of volunteers, both the day of the event and leading up to it. We have printed 5×7 advertising cards that need to be handed out at area car shows, posters that need to be put up, and donation items solicited for our raffles. Once again, WE NEED YOU.
In November, we will need volunteers to help man a fundraising booth at Town Center Mall from approximately a week before Thanksgiving until a week after Christmas. Most of the volunteer times will be on weekends, and with our participation the Post will receive 20% of all month collected on behalf of Off The Chain K-9 service dog training. This has the potential to raise some big funds so please help. Yes, we STILL NEED YOU.
There will be more events in November and December announced as the dates are set, including the Post BBQ.
