The Ron Asby North Cobb American Legion Post 304 is proud to announce that one of our members, Chuck Polk, has been selected as the Grand Marshal for the Veteran’s Day Parade in Marietta, GA. After the parade, Chuck will also be the keynote speaker at the events in the Marietta Square.
Chuck is a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard and retired as a full Captain. Chuck received numerous personal and unit awards during his time in service. While serving in the Coast Guard Reserve, Chuck also served as an Assistant Federal Security Director with the U.S. Transportation Security Administration / U.S. Dept. of Homeland Security in the State of Arkansas.
Chuck is an active member of Post 304, having served as the Oratorical Chair for several terms at the Post level, before rising to the District and State levels. Chuck also serves on the Post 304 Color Guard, and with the North Cobb Joint Veterans Honor Guard which provides military honors at veterans funerals.
Post 304 is honored to have Chuck represent us at the Veteran’s Day events.
