Arizona Lou Bringing His Comedy Tour to Post 304

On Friday, May 6th, “America’s Favorite Old Man” Arizona Lou is bringing his Veterans Appreciation National Comedy Tour to the Ron Asby North Cobb American Legion Post 304.  The show will start at 7:00pm.  This is a FREE show for our Post members and their families, and all Lou asks for are some donations that he can turn around and give to charities.

Arizona Lou travels across the US and around the world doing free benefit stand up comedy shows for charities and for veterans to show his appreciation for what they have done for our country.

He was told that he was too old to make people laugh.  When you see his show, you will realize how wrong they were!  You may have seen him at: Tempe Improv, Gotham Comedy Club, Laugh Factory, The Comedy Palace, Harrah’s Showroom, America’s Got Talent or The Comedy Zone.  Lou has taken his unique comedy style of dealing with life, being old, being active… and still being alive, to audiences of all ages in all 50 states and Washington, D.C. plus five countries.  A retired science teacher, he figures at 80, he doesn’t have time… “to kill…” so has been busy, with more than 1,270 appearances before live audiences totaling over 33,000… all in eight years.  Get ready for hilarious laughs and feel-good entertainment.

Every year Lou drives a minivan on his NATIONAL VETERANS APPRECIATION TOUR.

Lou continues to travel, at his own expense, for his performances almost anywhere.  This is his way of staying active, having fun and showing appreciation.

“Retired life’s tough, but somebody’s got to do it” is Lou’s first Louism

About Lou:

Lou proves that, at 80, he can be old, be active, make people laugh… and still be alive!  Also he shows his appreciation for what veterans have done for our country.  All profits from his comedy go to charity.  Arizona Lou (Louis Self) made some right decisions when he was younger so can focus on having fun entertaining during his retirement.  He enjoys kiteboarding, piloting airplanes, volunteering, using technology, and being fit.

Lou’s appearances include The Tempe Improv, Gotham Comedy Club, Laugh Factory, The Comedy Palace, Harrah’s Showroom, The Comedy Zone and America’s Got Talent.  His over 1,250 performances have taken him to all 50 states, five countries and before live audiences totaling over 33,000, which proves how good he is at… counting!
