As many of you know, our Junior Vice Commander – Finance, Tom “Knobby” Walsh, had a bad motorcycle accident on June 13th while providing an escort for a funeral. A box truck pushed him into a car (and, of course, the box truck took off) and he ended up crashing into the median on I-75. Tom ended up with six broken ribs and a punctured lung.
After a couple of extended hospital stays, Tom now faces a high insurance deductible and a month of unpaid medical leave. The E-Board of the Post has authorized a fund-raiser campaign for Knobby through GiveSendGo, a Christian-based fundraising website similar to GoFundMe.
