Post 304 Commander’s Christmas Message

Christmas is a time of faith, family, and celebration of friendship and unity among all of us, here at the Post and beyond.  This year, we have managed to grow and solidify our Post through the friendships we’ve made with our brother and sister veterans, and make the Post a place where our veteran family feels welcome and at home.

As this season of giving comes to an end for 2019, let’s continue our own season of giving into 2020 and make not only the Post, but those outside of the Post, better for all with whom we come in contact.  Our Post has a history of supporting those in need, and I would like to see us continue – and expand – those programs which help both our family members and those in the community who benefit from our ability to give back.

Every time you come into the Post and enjoy dinner or drinks, you’re helping keep the doors open and the Post accessible to all.  Each event for which you volunteer eases the burden of others who are also there to help out.  Every dollar raised through donations allows our Post to continue helping others.

Thank you for allowing me to be your Commander at Post 304.  My goal is to keep the ship on course and moving forward, making Post 304 even better in 2020.

I wish each and every one of you a very Merry Christmas, and a safe and Happy New Year.

Sincerely yours,
John Dowdy, Commander
