It was the First Annual Thanksgiving Dinner at the Post, and everyone in attendance had both a great time and got their fill of the excellent food. About 50 post members and their family members were on hand for turkey, ham, all the trimmings and a number of dishes and desserts brought in to share.
The dinner also honored the North Cobb Veterans Honor Guard for all the hard work they have done in the name of the post, along with VFW members who are also a part of the Honor Guard. Founding member Bob Hughes spoke for a few moments and thanked the Post for their support of the Honor Guard.
The Post would like to thank Commander Dowdy, Steve and Kat Kooyman, Deanna Bailey, Sue Fletcher, Michael Estrada, Woody Rhody, Jack and Sue Talley and any others who contributed their time and efforts to making the Thanksgiving Dinner a success.
