100th Anniversary and Post Re-Dedication Ceremonies March 19th

On March, 19th at 1pm, Post 304 will be celebrating two milestones – the 100th anniversary of the American Legion, and the re-dedication of the Post’s name to the Ron Asby North Cobb American Legion Post 304. March 19th marks the 100th anniversary of the creation of the American Legion. during the past century, the Legion has become the leading veteran’s service organization in the United States.

In 2018, the membership of the Post voted to add Ron Asby to the Post’s name, making it the Ron Asby North Cobb American Legion Post 304. Ron was one of the members instrumental in the relocation and redevelopment of our current location in Acworth. As Commander, Ron worked to expand the Post’s presence in the community and create new programs that helped veterans and their families throughout the area and beyond.

Come and celebrate the Legion’s 100th anniversary and the re-dedication of the Post on March 19th at 1:00pm. Local dignitaries will be present to help celebrate, including Acworth Mayor Tommy Allegood. Finger food and cake are provided, and the cash bar will be open.
