On March 2nd, the Ron Asby North Cobb American Legion Post 304 held its 2nd annual Casino Night. Attendees enjoyed playing Roulette, Craps and Blackjack throughout the evening, competing to win chips they could use to earn raffle tickets for some great prizes.
Hors d’Oeurves were served by the executive chef of the Pine Tree Country Club and were enjoyed by all. Some of the bigger auction prizes included tool boxes from Napa, a membership to the Governor’s Gun Club, a T/C .270 bolt action rifle, an Atlanta Braves ticket package for four, and much more. Raffle prizes were given out for dinner certificates, Costco memberships and a host of other great gifts. Just about everyone in attendance walked away with a prize.
The numbers are still coming in as to the total for the evening, but the 2nd Annual Casino Night was definitely a star in the Post 304 fund-raising efforts. Thank you to Jack Kimmich, Vince DiCecco, Penny Groover, Mary Zelly, Jay Thomas and the rest of the Events Committee for organizing such a fantastic event, and to everyone who helped bring in donations and sponsorships. Thanks to all for your efforts in making the 2nd Annual Casino Night a rousing success.
