It’s a “Chili War” At The Post On Monday, March 11th

The gauntlet has been thrown and the battle cry raised. War has been declared and it’s going to be a tasty one. On Monday, March 11th, the Post is hosting a Chili cook-off between Don A. and Sharon Red.

Don has used the same recipe for over 40 years, entering his chili into numerous contests and taking first place among a field of over 40 contestants. Previously holding the name “Alabama Heat,” his Chili has been renamed to “Georgia Heat” based on location and the temperature.

“It’s a little hot”, he says, “but really it’s just right. Red’s gotta bring her best to outdo mine, so bring I on!”

Sharon, on the other hand, also has a first place under her belt despite not having the 40-year cooking history Don has behind him. Sharon’s Chili is loaded with beans, meat and a “little heat”. She’s ready to pick up the gauntlet and put her Chili up against all challengers.

“Don may have 40 years of Chili cookin’ under his belt, but he’s going down. Time to retire, Don, the future is here!”

Make sure you stop at the Post on Monday night and enter your vote in the “Chili war” that’s been declared.  The first bowl will be dished out at 5pm, and the food will last until it’s gone.
