The Marietta City Council has approved a plan that would bring an 80,000-square-foot Veterans Administration clinic to Bells Ferry Road between North Cobb Parkway and Old 41 Highway.
The clinic will be more like a doctor’s office than a hospital. It will offer a wide array of services to veterans, including specialty services like eye clinics, but there will not be beds for overnight stays and surgeries will not be performed there.
The development will bring 200 jobs to the city and provide a much-needed service to local veterans.
