The 2025 Post 304 High School Oratorical Contest is In the Books

Oratorical Judges and Student Contestants

On Sunday, January 12, after being weather delayed from Saturday, the Post 304 High School Oratorical Contest was held at noon.  Six contestants vied for scholarships and the chance to advance to the next level of the contest, District 5.  All six contestants gave it their all in presenting their speeches on Constitutional issues, and then discussing the 26th Amendment in more detail.

Taking First Place for the third consecutive year was Lindsey McNeal (Harrison HS).  Second Place was snagged by Ire Fajimi (North Cobb HS) and Pippa McKinney (Calhoun HS) took Third.  Runners up for the contest were Aiden Cumberland (Cherokee HS), Jemma Ellis (Calhoun HS) and Savannah Citu (Cherokee HS).

Judges for the event were Tim Rowell, Jennifer Cross, Mike Pniewski and Roy Lantz.  They had their work cut out for them as all the contestants stepped up and worked hard to compete for the top prize.   We would also like to give a shout out to the ladies of the Auxiliary for providing snacks and helping set up the event.  Thanks to Lynda Asby, Mary Zelley, Jill Kowitzke, Karen Lekan and Rebecca Sartain.

Our congratulations and appreciations go out to all who participated and coordinated the event.  Check out the photos below.
